Martha Brown Stacy was born on November 7, 1924 in Atlanta, Georgia. Stacy graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1941. Between 1942 and 1946, Stacy worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for several different organizations. In August of 1946, Stacy began working in the office of Senator Richard B.
